2009 June Miyu and Coffee. |
Still plenty of life in these 10 yr olds. Mar 2010: Coffee made a permanent foster as his arthritis is worse and he started having seizures. He could use your sponsorships. Aug 2010 Miyu was adopted. Jan 2011: Coffee struggled the past couple months with seizures and he went to doggie heaven, he was a special boy and enjoyed his walks up till the last few days. It was his heart that failed him in the end. Miyu unfortunately was returned by her adopted family, they were struggling with her shots for diabetes but we will keep trying! |

Mazie is now diagosed with Cushings which is good in one way as her kidney disease will get better as she is treated for Cushings. But Cushings requires regular medications and check-ups. Nov 2009 Update: Mazie is doing well on the new medication, she is a very funny girl, we have since found out more about her, read her profile for details. Reba - still looking for that wonderful home. Read her dog profile.Sept 2010: An update on these girls, both special needs. Reba was diagnosed with glaucoma, we are in the midst of treating that and potentially saving the eye, Mazie is still funny, misses her young friend she use to play with here in her foster home, doing wonderful on her medications! March 2011: Mazie, her Cushings is in remission and could stay that way! Great news -- but still, no one risks adopting her. Reba, she is blind in one eye but we saved it rather than removing it, her other eye, only 20% vision now but no glaucoma so far. Both are beautiful girls just looking for a permament family --- they think this is it! |

Standards, we get them into rescue in bunches, always, weird that is. These girls need some help and then off to new forever homes. March 2011: Dove Bar and Milly are adopted! May 2011: Moxie found a home w/ enough energy to handle her! |

2011 January Skoobie and Weebles. |
Under 1 yr old, wonderful puppy-like attitudes, resiliant. Skoobie was injured and Weebles is the result of bad breeding. Knee surgery for both at such a young age. March 2011: Weebles was adopted and is doing well! They just love her. April 2011, Skoobie was adopted! |
