This is a sad situation and people are hard at work to prevent this neglect of breeding dogs.

Apr 2009 Well, we are now 5 years old! Can you imagine? How time flies when you work in rescue. We have rescued over 1000 dogs and we have adopted out over 900 of them. That is crazy, just crazy! We are a group of volunteers working primarily on the East Coast of Florida and focusing on poodles and poodle mixes. That tells you there is something wrong with our society that so many dogs are disposable. The more sobering truth is about 5 x that number are put down every year in most shelters. SPAY and NEUTER is so easy and better for the dogs. Anyway, Happy Birthday to Coastal Poodle Rescue. And a big THANK YOU for your part; whether it be donations, volunteering, adoptions, fostering, transporting, answering the phone ... the list goes on. There are great people in this country who care about animals.

Mar 2009 We are ramping up our online Yahoo! Group again, if you are a volunteer for CPR, you can join the group CPRFLORIDA. Good way to talk to other volunteers and learn from each other.

Jan 2009 The launch of our online Sponsor Program, where we highlight some dogs with higher than average costs. We are doing this to bring specifics about some dogs to the attention of those who look at our site. We are also trying to drive more people to the website to view the newsletter online to reduce the mailing costs.

Dec 2008 The fall of 2008 was hard with the economy where it was but the end of year support was there for fundraising events. We would like to THANK all the volunteers, fosters and donors.
