Bree had the good fortune to be adopted by on December 18, 2009.

and family have renamed our Bree as Marley.

Thank You, , for giving our Bree such a wonderful new home!

Bree's Happy New Life: Just wanted to give you an update on Marley….as we speak she’s sitting behind me on my work chair and is cute as a button. We are so happy with her…she gets daily morning walks and Adam took her to the dog park when I was in Tampa earlier this week – Adam said she went nuts running around and was tuckered out afterwards….she is a little timid around the big dogs but usually ends up approaching them for a sniff!! She’s a fixture at the bottom of the bed, she seems to like to sleep on the top of our covers more than under. We don’t know how we lived without her. Thanks for making us proud parents.

Wylie Wags had the good fortune to be adopted by Sherry on September 11, 2009.

Sherry and family have renamed our Wylie Wags as Wylie .

Thank You, Sherry, for giving our Wylie Wags such a wonderful new home!

Wylie Wags's Happy New Life: Wylie is so loving and friendly and loves to sleep on his soft dog bed. I don't think he ever had one before because he would constantly try to sleep under my bed. He stretches and rolls over to be petted when he is ready to wake up in the morning and loves to go for long walks, play ball, and wrestle. He won’t chew on a CET bone, he just hides it in a safe spot and keeps checking on it! When he is excited he runs in a circle. Wylie is great in the car, he sleeps during the ride! Wylie is such a precious little boy and I am blessed to have him as my own!

Drifter had the good fortune to be adopted by Jennifer on July 25, 2009.

Jennifer and family have renamed our Drifter as Buddy.

Thank You, Jennifer, for giving our Drifter such a wonderful new home!

Drifter's Happy New Life: We have filled Mom’s empty nest! We are two young brothers that couldn’t be happier with each other and our new home. Our day starts with a long walk at dawn along the Indian River Lagoon, and ends with another long walk at dusk when it cools down. On bath day Mom lets us run and splash in the river and fetch sticks thrown in the river. We live in such a fun neighborhood. There are so many squirrels and tall water birds at which to bark. There are six of us standard poodles in our small neighborhood, and we are a sight when we sometimes end up together at the park or on the street during one of our pack walks. It’s an especially fun walk when a neighbor’s cool sprinkler is enticing us and we can lap the water and lay down in the mist to cool off during our long walks. Mom takes us on regular trips to the pet store, which is so much fun. What a treat to get a car ride and a walk up and down the pet store aisles. We are both starting obedience classes next week, and are looking forward to the fun evening with lots of dogs and lessons on good behavior. We are so very happy with each other and our new home.

A note from Mom: I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to adopt these two wonderful pups. They fill my life with such joy, and bring such joy to many others around them. They are truly two peas in a pod, follow each other around constantly, and love to play tug-a-war with rope toys after dinner. I hope to get them involved in the Therapy Dog program after they have attended obedience classes. Thank you CPR for all your work taking care of poodles in need and finding the right home for each

Robbie-Two had the good fortune to be adopted by on June 13, 2009.

and family have renamed our Robbie-Two as Robbie .

Thank You, , for giving our Robbie-Two such a wonderful new home!

Robbie-Two's Happy New Life: Robbie graduated from Basic Obedience last night and we stayed to begin Advanced and CGC training. I hope to have him evaluated for the CGC cerificate 11/19 and then contact the Dog Therapy group for evaluation. Our boy has come a long way since June. He isn't shy of people or other animals - in fact, he can be a little overwhelming to sometimes with his energy and enthusiasm. He has won over the hearts for many neighbors and friends - I can only think there will be many more. He has an endearing smile and sometimes actually winks - really, he winks. He loves to play footsie and will high five. He also loves his squeaky toys - we tried a toy box, but he only wanted to empty it - one day maybe I can teach him to put them away, but I'm not holding my breathe. When the weather is cool enough we go to our little park here in the complex to chase butterflies and play frisbee. Robbie and kitty Gizzy have come nose to nose, but Gizzy is the one who hisses and retreats leaving Robbie to whine after her - he is not meanly aggressive - if anything, he is gentle and patient. Speaking for both of us, thank you for giving us the opportunity at a new life. I laugh every day and so does he. Looks like we have a happy ending.

Mr. JJ's Happy New Life: We all love J.J. so much. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for making this beautiful thing happen, for all of us. J.J. has really bonded to my Dad and doesn't let him too far out of his sight unless he knows just where he is. He loves to put his head in my lap and have his ears rubbed. He is a real lover. Prince, Dad's other poodle is the jet black one. He gets along well with J.J. but works very hard to make sure he also gets his share of the attention, no one gets left out. Thank you again for allowing us to make JJ a member of our family.

Jockey had the good fortune to be adopted by Wendelyn on April 21, 2009.

Wendelyn and family have renamed our Jockey as Jack.

Thank You, Wendelyn, for giving our Jockey such a wonderful new home!

Jockey's Happy New Life: We renamed Jockey "Jack" as Wolfgang. He responds very well to his new name. Sitting on the left next to Wolfgang is my other poodle Xica (wolfgang's sister). Wolfgang runs around the entire house and in the backyard. Wolfgang and sister Xica are always playing together and chasing after each others toys. They both have adjusted to each other very well, and now they do everything together. Wolfgang's energy has definitely lifted Xica's spirit. She loves his company, and so do we. Best of all, we feel that he completes our family. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him.

TuTu had the good fortune to be adopted by Peggy and David on January 08, 2009.

Peggy and David and family have renamed our TuTu as Buffy.

Thank You, Peggy and David, for giving our TuTu such a wonderful new home!

TuTu's Happy New Life: In late November, we adopted TuTu who is now called Buffy. Her foster Mom said that she was a “Velcro” little girl and that’s exactly what we were looking for. We lost our precious Gidget in September and knew in our hearts that we needed another poodle to love. It was love at first sight…Buffy wrapped herself around our hearts and hasn’t let go. She is a happy, playful little girl who now has a forever home with us and never has to be afraid that she will be left again. We recently received a letter from our groomer who said…”When you came in with Buffy, the love you demonstrated for this wonderful little poodle touched our hearts. You just beamed with Buffy in your arms.” As you can see by the pictures, Buffy loves to play ball and is our gift under the Christmas tree. Thank you to everyone at Coastal Poodle Rescue. We will gladly and proudly volunteer for events to help raise awareness and find homes for other abandoned and neglected poodles. We love our Buffy and can’t imagine our lives without her. A very Merry Christmas to all and a happy and healthy 2009.

Sophronia (Sophia) had the good fortune to be adopted by Zunknown on November 21, 2008.

Zunknown and family have renamed our Sophronia (Sophia) as Mia.

Thank You, Zunknown, for giving our Sophronia (Sophia) such a wonderful new home!

Sophronia (Sophia)'s Happy New Life: This email says it all of Sophronia, now known as MIA:

Mia has adjusted very well to our active, sometimes noisy household. She had lots of company over Thanksgiving, with my brother coming to visit from Tennessee, Kirsten coming home from Tallahassee/FSU, her boyfriend coming home from Gainesville/UF and Buzz’s sister, her husband, their son and daughter in law. We had a birthday party for Kirsten’s 20th, and Mia made lots of new friends.

Mia has only had 2 accidents in the house, which we think is awesome, and she has warmed up to everyone in her new family. She sleeps with the boys and loves to snuggle. She loves to sit on the lap of anyone at the computer. The kids like to hold her like a baby, and at first she wasn’t sure about that position, but now is very comfortable, and lays in their arms like she’s known them forever. She and Sophie wear each other out chasing and playing in the backyard and in the house. I will be taking Mia to training with Mitchell, our 13 yr. old, and she will meet our vet this afternoon.

Thank you for this new addition to our family! We can tell that Diana did a wonderful job with Mia before she came to our house, and are very impressed with Coastal Poodle People!!

THANK YOU TO LINDA J + FAMILY FOR GIVING THIS GIRL A SECOND CHANCE!

We’ll be in touch,

KiKi had the good fortune to be adopted by Rachel on September 05, 2008.

Rachel and family have renamed our KiKi as Marlee.

Thank You, Rachel, for giving our KiKi such a wonderful new home!

KiKi's Happy New Life: When we brought Marlee (aka Kiki) home she fit right in. Her playful, rambunctious, loving personality was a perfect match for our active lifestyle. She loves playing with her sisters, Rylee and Mercedes, car rides (which were new for her), long walks, trips to the dog park, belly rubs, jumping, running, and especially her squeaky toys! Marlee became very attached to us, but the bond between Rylee, our other Standard, and her is indescribable. We are so lucky to have Marlee in our family, and we are so excited to spend many more years with her in her forever home! Thank you CPR!

Cosmo2 had the good fortune to be adopted by Toni on August 27, 2008.

Toni and family have renamed our Cosmo2 as Chubby.

Thank You, Toni, for giving our Cosmo2 such a wonderful new home!

Cosmo2's Happy New Life: Cubby (Cosmo) is an energetic addition to our pet family. Every day he amazes us with his loving nature, curiosity, and playfulness with others. He likes to prance outside and jump in the air when he sees someone walking by. He likes to chase his kitty sister, Minx, whenever possible. Every morning he grabs his pink squeaky toy or big red ball to play fetch up and down the stairs. He is very attached to his new mommy and showers her with kisses. Cubby thinks he is the man of the house, but his older brother Wrigley, sometimes has to put him in his place. His other sister, Honey and Sabra, don't mind his flare as long as there is enough room for them to sleep in bed with us. Sorry, but we must get going. We are off to the park in the doggie stroller. All the best, Toni :)
