Online Sponsor Dog

Meet The Standards. The Standards. Now that is a weird name for a dog...well it's not a name. Meet, Zeus, Rose and Miss Chloe. They were unwanted by the breeder and brought to a shelter to be put down. Life is hard, better than leaving them to starve to death or abusing them I suppose but that is a hard line in the sand to draw. Wonderful people who work in shelters deal with this all the time....they said no to the 'put down', took custody of the dogs and called rescue. Coastal Poodle Rescue to the rescue...funny how standards usually come into the group in bunches....

Anyway, these dogs need sponsors! Neglected and rejected, they needed some major TLC. All had anal gland issues, bad ears, ALL heartworm positive!, need to be fixed, teeth issues...good grief! Well these babies are on their way to recovery, what a little care will do and a few vet visits, good food.... The donations we receive allow us to fix these dogs up before placing them into their FOREVER WONDERFUL LOVING home....

Zeus, a 5 yr old 69lb guy, starting on the second round of heartworm treatment, seems to be taking it on the chin. He had his ears flushed, dental, anal gland issues, etc. He is settled into his new routine.

Rose, a 2 yr old 42 lber, she is spayed and better, underway with her heartworm treatment, second round now. Rose is adapting well to her new environment. Gets along with other dog in the home. She has a sweet, timid personality. Likes to stay alongside her people. She has learned the routine of the new home quickly. She is doing well with the housetraining.

Miss Chloe, a 2 yr old 39 lb female, hasn't started heartworm treatment yet, her foster family recognized she had an issue and 20 stiches later she had a malignant tumor removed from her anal gland area/rectum. The picture below shows how red/sore/inflamed she was. Then she needed to put on some weight and recover completely before being microchipped, spayed, teeth cleaned. She has been loved on, put on some weight....now ready for the heartworm treatment.

Here is a note from her foster mom: Miss Chloe has come a long way since she came to stay with us. She looked like a bag of bones and was scared of just about anything with the exception of my daughter Gianna. She just loves little girls, she follows Gianna around in the house and outside in the yard. When Gianna gets out of the car for school Miss Chloe will howl in the back off and on until we get home. When Miss Chloe first came here her tail was tucked most of the time, she would wag it for Gianna only. Now she is happy when she sees me and it is not tucked under so much anymore. Miss Chloe is learning to enjoy human contact and we try to love on her as often as we can. She is beginning to act like a dog and will run and play a bit in the yard with Gianna and Gator Girl (our standard). She enjoys being in the car and seems to be interested in other dogs. If she had a choice b/t dog or Gianna she would pick my daughter.
