Online Sponsor Dog

Meet Miyu and Coffee. Both of these dogs want a new forever home where they can get ALL the attention they want. Right now they share their foster home with several other dogs.

Coffee - large mini 10 yrs old, male. Coffee is a good dog, he plays and is cuddly and likes his doggie friends and toys. He shares his human without complaint. He has been in foster care for over a year now and for no good reason! It seems that 10 number is scary for folks but I find the older dogs very loving and robust when given love and care.

Coffee has a heart murmur and is on medication for that. He recently played a bit too much and hurt his back, has a disk problem but with medication he is playing and back to his old self. This will be an on/off problem for him now. Right now it looks like Coffee will be a long-term foster unless someone out there is looking to do a dog a favor and give them a good home for a few years. Donations allow us to care for these long-term fosters. The monthly preventives and medications cost us money like anyone else and that chips away at the donations. If you can sponsor Coffee that would be great! He will appreciate it and so will we!

Coffees history is unclear, he seems to have been passed around quite a bit in his life and that must be why he settled in his foster home so easily. He is a trooper, a guy that takes it on the chin and makes the best of it.

Miyu - Pretty 10 yr old female. Her 'daddy' was diagnosed with cancer then she was diagnosed with diabetes. Too much for the family, they gave her to the vet who kept her at the office as an office dog but she was too scared by that change. She was then surrendered to Coastal Poodle Rescue. She has been in rescue for 5 months.

Her nerves resulted in her chewing her fur out and ended up with a couple bald spots, hot spots before she came into rescue; probably upset about pain in knee and stress combined. She is a little shy but will warm up if you give her space to make the initiation. She has had trouble with her diabetes but after a few months in rescue with the right food that works for her and CC's of insulin she is doing great now. Things are stable and looking good.

She just loves belly rubs and would spend much time running and playing but she has this bad knee. This causes her pain, the vet feels it can be fixed with surgery; right now we are waiting for some donations to come in so we can spend them on the surgery. Right now donations are light and we are moving into our 'slow' donation period. She will take a little zoom zoom then limp for a few days, then another zoom zoom, definitely still an active girl at heart.

Miyu is hanging in there but would love to have her knee surgery so she is more likely to find a home. She walks good and wants to run and play more but pays the price when she does. If you can sponsor her she would much appreciate it.
